Arngunnur Árnadóttir er tónlistarkona og rithöfundur. Hún stundaði framhaldsnám í klarínettuleik hjá Einari Jóhannessyni við Listaháskóla Íslands og Ralf Forster og Wenzel Fuchs við Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler í Berlín. Hún hefur frá haustinu 2012 gegnt stöðu fyrsta klarínettuleikara Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands.

Arngunnur leggur stund á ýmiss konar tónlistarflutning. Hún hefur flutt kammertónlist meðal annars við opnun tónlistarhússins Hörpu og á tónlistarhátíðinni Reykjavík Midsummer Music og hefur komið fram með tónlistarmönnum á borð við Skúla Sverrisson og Víking Ólafsson. Arngunnur hefur einnig vakið athygli sem einleikari með hljómsveit ásamt stjórnendum á borð við Daníel Bjarnason og Cornelius Meister.

Sem rithöfundur hefur Arngunnur sent frá sér tvær ljóðabækur og eina skáldsögu. Nýjasta bók hennar, Ský til að gleyma, kom út haustið 2018.

// Arngunnur Árnadóttir is a musician and writer. After studying clarinet playing with Einar Jóhannesson at the Iceland University of the Arts and Ralf Forster and Wenzel Fuchs at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin she was appointed as principal clarinetist at the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2012.

Arngunnur enjoys various forms of music making. She has played chamber music at events such as the opening of Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík and the music festival Reykjavík Midsummer Music and has performed with artists such as Skúli Sverrisson and Víkingur Ólafsson. Arngunnur has also received attention as a soloist with orchestra, working with conductors such as Daníel Bjarnason and Cornelius Meister.

As a writer, Arngunnur has produced two books of poetry and a novel. Her latest book, Ský til að gleyma, came out in fall 2018.
